Unlike adult care, your child is genuinely assigned their own dedicated pediatrician at your CAP, specifically trained in child health — this continues until age 14. Babies are typically seen every 1 to 2 months in the early months; after that, it shifts to annual check-up visits alongside the vaccination schedule.

Every vaccine on Catalonia's official pediatric calendar is genuinely free — vaccines aren't legally mandatory in Spain, but they're strongly and universally recommended, and following the schedule genuinely matters both for your own child and for community-wide protection. Some vaccines are genuinely administered directly at school during the school year, with nursing staff visiting classrooms for age-appropriate doses. Your child's vaccination card (carné de vacunacions) is genuinely required when you enroll them in school (Post #2), so keep it somewhere safe.
