Hindu Temples & Sikh Gurdwaras in Catalonia: The Complete Directory
Every Hindu temple and Sikh gurdwara in Catalonia we could directly verify as currently open — checked address by address on Google Maps, not copied from an old directory.
How we built this list: We started from community directories and search results, then checked every single candidate individually on Google Maps for a current address, phone number, and open/permanently-closed status as of 27 October 2026. That process caught two gurdwaras that had actually closed down, one that appears to be mid-relocation, and a couple of listings that turned out not to be religious sites at all. We left all of those out rather than publish an address that might send you to a closed building.
If you run or know of a temple or gurdwara that should be on this list and isn’t, email us or message the Catalunyaar WhatsApp channel — we’ll verify and add it.

🛕 Hindu Temples in Catalonia
Being honest about scope here: after checking every lead we could find — including a live “Hindu temple mandir Catalunya” Maps search — we could verify two currently-operating, publicly identifiable Hindu temples in all of Catalonia. We also found a “Ganesha Mandir” that is now permanently closed, and a residential address that reviewers themselves describe as a private home rather than a public temple — both excluded.
ISKCON Barcelona — Hare Krishna Hindu Temple
✓ Verified open
Barcelona’s ISKCON temple sits right on Plaça Reial in the Gothic Quarter. It holds regular aarti at set times; check their page or call ahead for the current schedule, especially around Diwali when timings may shift.
Asociación Saihira Ram Vishwas (Sai Hira) — Sai Baba Temple
✓ Verified open
A Sai Baba temple — also known locally as Hiraram Baba temple — run by a community association just off Plaça d’Espanya. Reviewers describe daily chanting, prayers, aarti and prasad distribution, with a strong, steady Indian-family presence. Call ahead if you’re visiting outside the midday closure window (closes 12pm, reopens 4pm).

⚠ Call ahead — relocating
This appears to be a newer address replacing an older Girona gurdwara on Carrer Major in Salt, which is now permanently closed. Reviews at the new address show some signs of a venue still settling in — we’d suggest calling ahead before visiting rather than treating this as a fully settled listing.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Is there more than one Hindu temple in Catalonia?
Based on everything we could verify, there are two publicly identifiable, currently-operating Hindu temples in the region: ISKCON Barcelona and the Sai Hira (Saihira Ram Vishwas) Sai Baba temple on Carrer d’Entença. If you know of another one we’ve missed, let us know and we’ll check it.
Can anyone visit these gurdwaras, regardless of religion?
Generally yes — gurdwaras are historically open to all visitors, and most on this list welcome guests for kirtan, darshan, and free community meals (langar). It’s respectful to cover your head, remove your shoes, and dress modestly before entering.
Are these all confirmed currently open?
Every location above was checked individually on Google Maps on 27 October 2026 for current operating status. One (Gurdwara Sikh Kalgidhar Sahib, Girona) is flagged for calling ahead because its listing shows signs of a recent relocation still settling in.
Will there be special Diwali programming at any of these locations?
We couldn’t verify specific Diwali 2026 event details for any individual temple or gurdwara at the time of writing — check directly with each location, or watch the Catalunyaar WhatsApp channel, where we’ll share confirmed events as we find them.
