About Shyama Puja and Dipabali
For Bengali families, the new-moon night of Kartik is not only Diwali. It is Shyama Puja, better known as Kali Puja, the night Ma Kali is worshipped with red hibiscus, lamps and devotion while homes glow with diyas for Dipabali.
This year the Hindu Festival Organization in Santa Coloma de Gramenet invites every Sanatani brother and sister, friend and family across Barcelona to come together for the puja. As their invitation puts it: Ma is coming to be among her children.
- Come with your family and offer pushpanjali at Ma's feet.
- Join the puja and archana at the main puja time, 17:39 – 18:31.
- Stay for prasad, which is shared with all devotees after the puja.
