Hare Krishna! This coming Thursday, on the 7th of September, we invite you to join us in celebrating the auspicious festival of Janmashtami. While we had initially hoped to find an outdoor venue for the celebration, we’ll now be hosting it right here at our beloved temple. We’re gearing up for a wonderful evening filled with devotion, spirituality, and of course, the divine presence of Lord Krishna.
The program is set to kick off at 6:00 PM, and you can expect an enchanting evening where we’ll forego traditional performances and instead focus on bhajans (devotional songs) and Krishna katha (stories of Lord Krishna). Here’s a sneak peek of what’s in store for you:

Dharsan of the Deity: Take in the divine beauty of our beloved Lord Krishna. Spend a serene 15 to 20 minutes in His divine presence, soaking in the spiritual energy that fills the temple.
Bajans: Immerse yourself in soul-stirring bhajans that will uplift your spirit and connect you with the divine. Let the music transport you to a higher plane of consciousness.
Krishna Katha: Dive into the enchanting tales of Lord Krishna’s life and teachings. These stories are not just narratives; they are timeless lessons that inspire and guide us on our own spiritual journey.
Swing Lord Krishna: Have the unique opportunity to swing Lord Krishna on a beautifully adorned swing. It’s a gesture of love and devotion that brings you closer to the divine.
Krishna Prasadam: Before you leave, don’t forget to partake in Krishna prasadam – sanctified food offered to Lord Krishna. Carry a piece of His blessings home with you.
