Iberia Language Academy

Our roots can be traced back to TEFL Iberia, an English teacher training academy founded by Richard Davie in 2012. As we worked with numerous students, primarily from English-speaking countries, who were keen on relocating to Barcelona for work and life, we realised the growing demand for Spanish language education. This realization inspired us to expand our offerings and establish Iberia Language Academy.

What started as occasional groups of Spanish learners has evolved over time into a flourishing, independent school, with a team of teachers and coordinators committed to providing an exceptional educational experience and outstanding customer service. Raquel Rojo joined our team in 2024 as our academic director and raised our academic standards and rigor to new levels, along with an action-packed cultural activity calendar.

Today, Iberia Language Academy combines a strong commitment to student support with an open, welcoming atmosphere that reflects life in Barcelona. Through well-structured courses, personalised attention and a lively programme of cultural activities, the school creates an engaging and inclusive environment in which international learners can learn Spanish while actively connecting with the local culture.
