Nice Spice is an Indo-Pakistani restaurant, where very diverse people come, from groups of young people and tourists in the evenings, to neighbours and office people at midday. The chef Qamar Chaudry and his team are all from the province of Punjab, in Pakistan and from their open kitchen, where you can see them preparing the dishes on the spot and live, in the tandoori oven, they propose us the rich typical cuisine of those two distant places.
As starters, we propose the vegetable Samosa or the Chiken pakora; as seconds, very popular in this restaurant, the chicken Tikka massala, or the outstanding Auchar goshat (medium hot lamb, with curry sauce, green spices and tomato). You should accompany them with the highly recommended cheese nan, fresh from the tandoori, or with the biryani rice, made with Punjabi recipes.
As desserts, our recommendations go for the Rice pudding and Pistachio Kulfi (five stars).
Exclusively from Pakistan are the Karahi goshat lamb dishes, Muragh karahi chicken, and Chiken balti and Lamb balti (special sauces of onion, tomato and garlic and ginger, with spices, respectively with chicken and lamb).
There are also Indian drinks such as Cobra beer, mango smoothies and Kashmir (pistachio, fruit syrup, milk or yoghurt).
All this culinary scene is accompanied by background music or videos from Bollywood movies or by the mythical Pakistani singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
