Veer Khalsa, a Barcelona based solidarity group which came existence to aim to help, personas families affected because of coronavirus.
Spain as of 04/05/2020 has more than 240,000 infected by a coronavirus, and more than 25,500 have lost their lives because of Covid 19, with whole nation locked down for more than 50 days many families were affected, as most of Indians have a job in sectors heavily affected by the crisis, and on another hand, many of Indians living in Barcelona have a business related to tourism and with next no tourist coming, most of the people working for such business have lost their income and left many families with no source of income, here is where Veer Khalsa came existence, Initially with a couple of friends Happy Padda and Jot Padda initiated their help towards vulnerable people and families in Barcelona and surrounding area,
Meantime, they joined Indali’s ongoing Barcelona Food Solidarity Programme to extend their help towards more and more family, they right now operate from Restaurante Maharaja , Veer Khalsa Barcelona along collaborated with Indian Culture Centre and Other associations and offered more than 700 litres of water to Hospital Clinico de Barcelona.
