Udta Teer
Ayushmann Khurrana flies solo as a memory-wiped Pakistani spy who becomes India's most confused counter-intelligence hero — and Barcelona gets a front-row seat.
If you've been missing that particular Ayushmann Khurrana energy — the everyman who stumbles into chaos and somehow becomes the hero of it — Udta Teer is arriving right on schedule, and this time Barcelona's Indian community doesn't have to wait for a promoter to book a one-off screening. It's already on the official cinema listing, tickets and all.
Movie Overview
Udta Teer (literally, "the flying arrow") is a spy action-comedy marking the directorial debut of Akash A. Kaushik, produced under the Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment banners. It pairs Ayushmann Khurrana with Sara Ali Khan for the first time, backed by a loaded supporting cast of Bollywood character actors.

Reality check: runtime and the final censor certificate aren't independently confirmed yet — only one source (a streaming listing page) states 2h17m, and India's CBFC hasn't published the full-film certificate at the time of writing. We'll update this once the official certificate is out.
Release Date
Udta Teer was originally slated for 9 October 2026, but the makers pushed it back two weeks to 23 October 2026. According to Indian trade reports, the move was deliberate — the team wanted a cleaner release window with more screens, rather than competing in a crowded marketplace right after Drishyam: The Conclusion and The Vvaan: Force of the Forest finish their theatrical runs.
That postponement has worked out nicely for Barcelona: the film now opens in India and in Catalunya on practically the same weekend.

Supporting Cast
Reality check: a few additional names (including Naseem Mughal and Parul Gulati) appear on only one listing site each, so we've kept this list to cast members confirmed across at least two independent sources. We'll expand it if the full official cast list is published closer to release.
Director
This is the directorial debut of Akash A. Kaushik, who also wrote the screenplay. Backing a first-time director with a Dharma Productions/Sikhya Entertainment banner and a cast this stacked is a strong statement of confidence from the studio — worth watching for how the film balances comedy against the espionage plot.
Story
Bilal is a Pakistani spy operating in India — until a memory wipe leaves him convinced he's actually working for Indian counter-intelligence. The problem: his former handlers know exactly who he is, and they're not thrilled he's now unwittingly working against them. When the terrorist Azhar Maqsood slips into the country, Bilal gets dragged into a race-against-time chase, equal parts chaotic and patriotic, with nobody — least of all Bilal himself — fully sure which side he's really on.
No spoilers beyond that: the trailer leans hard into "accidental hero" comedy while keeping a real espionage plot ticking underneath.

Why Watch This Movie
Ayushmann Khurrana has built a career on playing confused, in-over-his-head everymen, and this time the stakes are international instead of domestic — a genuinely fun premise for anyone who enjoys spy films that don't take themselves too seriously. For Barcelona's Indian community, it's also a rare chance to catch a big mainstream Hindi release on an official cinema listing, with real seat booking, rather than chasing down a one-off community screening.
