Girona's big autumn festa major: giants, correfoc with the Diables de l'Onyar, a diada castellera and free concerts at La Copa (Miki Núñez on opening night). Only the fairground rides are paid. The last train back to Barcelona leaves Girona around 21:20, before the night shows.

The 59th edition of the fantasy and horror film festival wraps up this weekend. General sessions are €11.50; galas and marathons cost more (€20–27).
